Kohl’s Appoints Tom Kingsbury as CEO

Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE: KSS) announced today its Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Tom Kingsbury as Chief Executive Officer, effective as of February 2, 2023. Kingsbury has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer since December 2, 2022. Kingsbury will continue to serve on the Company’s Board. With more than 1,100 stores in 49 states and the online convenience of Kohls.com and the Kohl’s App, Kohl’s is uniquely positioned to deliver against its strategy and its vision to be the most trusted retailer of choice for the active and casual lifestyle.

Kingsbury brings over 40 years of retail industry experience serving in executive leadership and board roles at Kohl’s, Burlington Stores, Inc., and The May Department Stores Company. He led Burlington Stores, Inc. as President and Chief Executive Officer from 2008 to 2019 and served on the Burlington Stores Board of Directors from 2008 to 2020, including as Chairman from 2014 to 2019 and as Executive Chairman from 2019 to 2020.
