Mercatus, a leading provider of grocery eCommerce solutions, today announced the appointment of two key leaders to further support its growth and evolution. Rhonda Bosch assumes the new role of Chief Operating Officer and Steve Benteau joins as Chief Technology Officer.
As the grocery industry continues to experience elevated online sales post-pandemic, grocery retailers understand the value of owning their customer relationships. Mercatus was at the forefront in 2019 advocating for regional grocers to take back control of their digital future by owning their first-party web and mobile shopping channels. Since the debut of the popular “Back in Charge” rallying cry, Mercatus has experienced significant growth winning new platform business as grocers realized they were missing out on knowing their customers.

Prior to joining Mercatus as COO, Bosch led operations, customer and employee success teams at TouchBistro, a restaurant technology company and industry leader in POS and restaurant management. Before that, as Vice President of Operations at Achievers, Bosch led customer operations and technical support teams providing services globally. She excelled at strengthening client experience and enhanced operational infrastructure, as well as built out the retail e-commerce marketplace business internationally before the company was acquired by Blackhawk Networks.

Benteau brings over 25 years of leadership experience to Mercatus along with a track record of creating high performance teams. Prior to joining Mercatus, Benteau served as CTO at Precima, a leading global retail strategy and analytics company acquired by NeilsenIQ. His experiences include delivering products and solutions to leading retailers across North America and Europe along with years of services consulting across various sectors. He actively engages with teams to ensure he hears and understands clients’ needs, and with the team, delivers market-leading solutions that will keep customers happy.
