As flower shoppers rush to find last-minute gifts and holiday centerpieces, The Bouqs Co., a leading disruptor in direct-to-consumer floral delivery, has partnered with Roadie, a UPS company (NYSE:UPS), to offer same-day delivery to its customers in key markets including New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
With Bouqs anticipating a 44% increase in planned order volume in Q4 compared to Q3, the partnership addresses a critical challenge: Customers often wait until the last minute to order flowers, but shipping can’t fill that demand. Roadie helps Bouqs solve this by enabling same-day delivery from Bouqs stores and distribution points, meeting customer demand when it peaks.
The partnership also unlocks new design possibilities. Typical Bouqs orders arrive in boxes, a method that ensures freshness during cross-country shipping. Premium arrangements, like florist-arranged centerpieces and compote-style vases, can’t be packaged and shipped that way. With Roadie same-day local delivery, Bouqs can now offer delivery for these more elaborate, table-ready designs to customers beyond its physical retail locations, expanding what’s possible without compromising the modern aesthetic that differentiates Bouqs from grocery store flowers.

“Holiday shoppers don’t typically plan ahead for flowers, and that’s kind of the point,” said Marc Gorlin, Founder and CEO of Roadie. “You wake up, realize you forgot a host gift or need something beautiful on the table tonight. Bouqs gets that and with Roadie same-day delivery, now they can make it happen. It’s exactly the kind of challenge we love solving: helping great brands deliver fast without losing what makes them special.”
The Roadie network of more than 310,000 independent drivers enables Bouqs to reach customers across metro areas even as traditional shipping windows close during the peak holiday season. The model is particularly effective for floral delivery, where freshness and timing determine customer satisfaction, with same-day delivery available 365 days a year – including floral-forward gifting and hosting occasions like Christmas Eve, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and last-minute birthday gifts.

“Markets like New York and Los Angeles are critical for our business, and Roadie’s delivery platform allows us to reach far more customers than we could through our stores alone. A customer in Brooklyn can now order a centerpiece in the morning and have it delivered for dinner,” said Wendy Oliff, SVP eCommerce & Subscriptions at Bouqs. “Beyond that reach, using Roadie opens up design possibilities we couldn’t offer before, the kinds of premium pieces our customers want for holiday hosting and gifting.”
The partnership reflects broader retail shifts as companies look for delivery solutions that can scale during peak demand without compromising service quality. For The Bouqs Co., same-day delivery creates an advantage during the season when customer expectations and order volumes are high.
